This ring is a very unusual piece and seems to me to have been custom made due to this, it is what was called a "dinner ring" and is circa 1960s. It is made from platinum with black opals and diamonds. There is one oval shaped cabochon cut black opal that weighs .70 carat and one pear shaped black opal that weighs .63 ct. There are also fifteen round full cut diamonds totaling .62 ct tw that average VS in clarity and top white G in color. The ring is a size 5 and measures 3/4 x 1 1/4 inches across the top. It weighs 14 grams and is appraised by Florida Diamond appraisers at $3595.00.
