This great vintage evening bag is circa 1920s/30s. The outside is a combination of tapestry (front & back) and the sides and bottom are what look like bronze colored metalic fabric and trim, which is quite beautiful. The lining is a silky gold colored fabric. The little mirror frame looks like celluloid to me. There is a tag which says "Made in France" on the inside and one small pocket, it also says "Made in France" on the inside of the frame. The purse measurements are 6 1/4 X 6 X 1/2 inches. The chain handle measures 20 inches at full length, can be doubled to make it shorter and has darkened with age and I have not tried to clean it. All of the fabric inside and out is in very good condition with no fraying, fading, dirt, smells, etc. The colors are more muted than they appear in the first picture, less blue and more gold looking with a slight shean.
